FAQ
Which service should I choose?
I'm pregnant and want to prepare for birth. Which service should I choose?
During pregnancy, we offer Pregnancy Support with our doula, who mainly guides you through the theoretical preparation for birth and the postpartum period. She also offers rebozo techniques for overall relaxation and calm.
If you feel you need to learn how to exercise safely during pregnancy and how to work with your changing body, your pelvis and your pelvic floor, choose Diagnostics in physiotherapy.
Will the doula check my pelvic floor?
No. Pregnancy Support with a doula is preparation for birth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding, plus rebozo techniques. Pelvic floor examination and therapy are done by a physiotherapist. For that, please choose Diagnostics in physiotherapy.
I came to you for physiotherapy a long time ago. Should I book Physiotherapy or Diagnostics?
If your last visit to ToBe was more than two years ago, please choose Diagnostics.
I've given birth and would like a check-up. What should I choose in the booking system?
For a postpartum check-up, choose your physiotherapist and book Diagnostics with her.
I've had surgery. Which service should I choose?
In the online booking system, choose Physiotherapy, select your therapist and book Diagnostics.
Which physiotherapist should I book with?
Book with whichever physiotherapist feels right to you, both professionally and personally. Have a look at her profile, the courses she has completed and the areas she focuses on, and feel free to trust your instinct. Trust and a sense of safety are very important in therapy, especially when it comes to intimate topics.

FAQ
How therapy works
Is it normal to cry or feel strong emotions during pelvic floor work?
Yes, that’s completely normal. Strong emotions, tension and tears can come up during pelvic floor work. What matters is that therapy takes place safely, sensitively and with respect for your boundaries.
What should I do if physiotherapy hasn't been helping for a long time?
If physiotherapy isn’t bringing improvement, the diagnosis, the cause of the problem, the circumstances and the therapy plan need to be reassessed. It’s a good idea to consult your doctor or another physiotherapist. A multidisciplinary approach is often needed.
What if I have chronic pelvic pain but all my test results are normal?
If all medical examinations come back negative, it’s worth having a physiotherapy assessment, as the cause of the pain may be functional. Physiotherapy can help uncover pelvic floor dysfunction, muscle tension or other movement-related factors, and set up the right therapy.
Physiotherapy does not replace a medical examination and diagnosis. If your symptoms are acute or getting worse, please also contact your doctor.
