MSc. Katarína Hanuliaková
Founder | Senior Physiotherapist
The body does not need to be fixed. It needs to be understood.
I am a woman, wife, mother and physiotherapist. Over the years of practice, I have realised that health does not come only from eliminating symptoms or solving a specific problem. Real change comes when a person begins to better understand themselves, their body, and the way they live their life.
It was this idea that led me to create the space you know today as ToBe — a place where different areas of expertise, perspectives, and approaches to health are interconnected. A place that does not see a person only through a diagnosis or individual symptoms, but as a unique whole.
My professional journey began in physiotherapy and the musculoskeletal system. Over time, clients and their stories gradually led me deeper — from working with the body through the pelvic floor to understanding the meaning of emotions, the psyche, and the functioning of the nervous system. Today, I see the body as the bearer of a person’s story, and therapy as a space where we can get to know that story, understand it, and support its natural process of change.
How I work
Years of practice have taught me to slow down. To listen more. To place less emphasis on performance, results, or quick change.
In therapy, I strive to create a safe space where clients can become more aware of their bodies, their needs, and the connections between what they are experiencing and what is happening on a physical level. I don’t focus only on symptoms; I also look for their possible causes and the context in which they arise.
Over the years, I have become increasingly aware of how closely the body, mind, and nervous system are connected. This is why I naturally integrate a psychosomatic perspective and the principles of nervous system regulation into my work — gently, clearly, and always with respect for where each client is in their own process.
I believe the body has a remarkable capacity for healing and renewal. Sometimes it doesn’t need more pressure — it needs understanding, a sense of safety, and the right conditions to begin functioning in a different way.

In my practice, I specialise mainly in:

ToBe — the concept
ToBe grew naturally out of the original IntimFyzio centre. Over time, I increasingly felt the need to bring different areas of expertise together and create a place where a person does not have to be divided into separate parts.
Today, ToBe is a multidisciplinary space where physiotherapy, psychology, psychotherapy, women’s health, traditional Chinese medicine, work with the nervous system, and other approaches come together — united by a common idea: to see a person in their entirety and create the conditions for health, growth, and a deeper connection with oneself.
Education and professional development
I studied physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava, and completed my master’s degree at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom.
I have completed a specialisation in functional and structural disorders of the musculoskeletal system at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. I hold a licence for independent medical practice and am a member of the Slovak Chamber of Physiotherapists.

Mgr. Dominika Vlčková
Advanced Physiotherapist
The body changes when we give it the right impulse.
What fascinates me about the human body is its ability to adapt, regenerate, and seek balance. I believe the body has a natural ability to heal itself if we create the right conditions for it — the right guidance, enough space, time, and impulses for change.
I see movement as one of the most important forms of prevention and therapy. It affects not only muscles and joints, but also the nervous system, digestion, hormonal balance, and the vascular and lymphatic systems. Over the course of my practice, however, I realised that behind pain or health problems there is often much more than the musculoskeletal system itself — lifestyle, stress, sleep quality, diet, and digestion all play a significant role.
That is why I look at health comprehensively, and during therapy I try to find the connections that can influence how the whole body functions.
How I work
Every therapy begins with a thorough assessment and a search for the root cause of the symptoms. My goal is not only to relieve the symptoms, but to understand why the problem arose and what is preventing the body from functioning optimally.
In my work, I combine manual therapy with the client’s active participation. I believe lasting change happens when the client understands their body and takes an active part in the treatment process. That is why I tailor every therapy plan to the individual, taking into account each person’s needs, abilities, and life circumstances.
My aim is to support the body’s natural balance, remove the barriers that may limit its ability to regenerate, and create the conditions for it to function as effectively as possible.
What I can help you with
In my practice, I focus mainly on women’s health, the pelvic floor, and functional disorders in the pelvic area. I most often work with clients dealing with:
- pelvic pain during pregnancy
- postpartum conditions and injuries
- incontinence
- pelvic organ prolapse

- pudendal neuralgia
- functional pelvic floor disorders
I also work with men who have urological problems, especially:
- chronic prostate pain
- functional urination disorders
I also help clients with:
- chronic musculoskeletal pain
- temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems

Methods and techniques I use
My therapy is based on the principles of physiotherapy and osteopathy. I use a combination of visceral, mobilisation, and manual techniques, complemented by craniosacral therapy and functional diagnostics.
An important part of my work is also working with movement. I draw on Pilates, DNS, and functional training to help clients restore natural movement patterns and carry the results of therapy into everyday life.

Mgr. Zuzana Rusnáková
Junior Physiotherapist
I believe that when a person understands their body, they can take better care of it.
For me, physiotherapy is not just about eliminating pain or solving a specific problem. It is primarily about understanding the connections that affect our health and everyday functioning. I believe that when a client understands their body and its needs, they can actively take part in the treatment process and support their health in the long term.
In my work, I place great emphasis on understanding, respect, and an individual approach. During the initial examination, I make a point of taking a thorough medical history, so I can understand not only the problem itself but also its possible causes and wider connections. Education is also an important part of therapy for me — I explain to clients how their body works and show them how they can actively influence their own health.
How I work
I look at the body as a whole. I often find that the cause of a problem is not in the place where the symptoms appear. That is why, during therapy, I combine manual techniques with an active approach and movement therapy, so the results are not only effective but also sustainable in the long term.
Movement is a natural part of my life and my work. As an active athlete, I have long been involved in the rehabilitation of athletes and their return to movement after injury or pain. My goal is not only to relieve current difficulties, but to help the client gain greater stability, function, and confidence in their own body.
What I can help you with
During my studies, I began to specialise in the pelvic floor and women’s health, which remains the main focus of my practice today. I most often work with clients dealing with:
- pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence
- painful, irregular, or absent menstruation
- endometriosis
- pregnancy preparation and fertility support
- pregnancy and associated pain or functional difficulties
- preparation for childbirth
- postpartum conditions
- scars after childbirth and gynaecological surgery
I also help clients with:
- spine and pelvic pain
- coccyx (tailbone) syndrome
- flat feet
- migraines and headaches
- functional musculoskeletal disorders
Methods and techniques I use
In my practice, I use a combination of manual therapy, targeted exercise, and education. I work with the principles of urogynecological physiotherapy, visceral manipulation, the McKenzie method, and other functional approaches that allow me to work with the body in a broader context.
Therapy may also include scar work, pelvic and hip mobilisation, coccyx syndrome therapy, treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, or an individually tailored exercise programme.
Education and professional development
I graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Trnava. Throughout my practice, I continuously educate myself and expand my professional knowledge, especially in women’s health, the pelvic floor, and musculoskeletal disorders.

Bc. Adriana Hlôšková
Advanced Physiotherapist
I believe the body works as one interconnected whole.
In my practice, I combine knowledge from physiotherapy, osteopathy, and active movement. I don’t focus only on the site of the pain or a specific symptom, but try to understand the wider connections that can affect how the body functions. I believe that many difficulties arise as a result of imbalances in different systems of the body, which is why it is important to look at a person as a whole.
I place great emphasis on a thorough medical history, an individual approach, and creating a safe space in which the client feels heard and understood. My goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but to help the client understand their own body and find a path to lasting change.
How I work
In therapy, I combine manual techniques with active exercise, education, and movement therapy. I tailor every therapy plan to the individual needs, abilities, and current condition of the client, so the results are sustainable in the long term.
Thanks to my background in strength and conditioning, I see movement as a natural part of treatment and prevention. I help clients not only to relieve their difficulties, but also to return safely to movement, sport, and the activities that matter to them.

Mgr. Karolína Kurnická
Psychologist
When we understand what is happening within us, space for healing opens up.
I believe that every person carries their own unique story. This story shows itself not only in our thoughts and emotions, but also in how we experience our body, our relationships, and everyday life. Often it is precisely where we feel tension, repeating patterns, inner conflicts, or physical difficulties that important information is hidden about what needs to be seen, understood, and worked through.
My work is to accompany people on the path to a deeper understanding of themselves. I help them find the connections between their inner experience, life experiences, relationships, and physical expressions, so that greater clarity, calm, and inner stability can gradually emerge from the chaos.
I believe that real change does not come from pressure to perform or from quick fixes, but through safety, acceptance, and conscious contact with oneself.
How I work
In therapy, I create a safe and respectful space in which a person can slow down, listen to themselves, and look at their experience without judgment or pressure for immediate change.
I work sensitively and individually, with an emphasis on each person’s unique story. Together we look for the connections between what is happening in the psyche, in relationships, and in the body. I see the person as a whole, so I naturally combine psychological knowledge with work with emotions, physical experience, trauma, and relational dynamics.
My goal is not to offer universal solutions, but to help the client better understand themselves, their needs, and the patterns that shape their life.
What I can help you with
In my practice, I focus mainly on:
- relationship and partnership problems
- demanding life situations and transitional periods
- long-term stress, tension, and overload
- exhaustion and burnout
- traumatic experiences and their consequences
- psychosomatic difficulties
- working with emotions and self-knowledge
- repeating patterns of behaviour and experience
- building a healthier relationship with oneself
Methods and approaches I use
In my work, I combine knowledge from several therapeutic directions and approaches that allow me to look at a person as a whole.
I draw mainly on:
- psychology
- the systemic approach
- systemic constellations
- work with trauma
- relational dynamics
- body-oriented approaches
- work with emotions and psychosomatics
An important part of my work is also recognising the connection between the psyche and the body. I believe the body often carries information about our experiences, emotions, and inner conflicts even before we can put them into words.
TRE® – working with the body and the nervous system
Part of my practice is also the TRE® method (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), a gentle and respectful way of working with the body and the nervous system.
TRE® uses the body’s natural mechanism — neurogenic tremor — which helps release deep tension, stress, and the effects of long-term overload. It is an approach based on the body’s natural ability to self-regulate and restore inner balance.
The method can be especially beneficial for people who:
- live under long-term stress
- feel tired, exhausted, or burned out
- experience chronic muscle tension
- want to better understand their body’s signals
- are looking for a gentle way to regulate the nervous system
Education and professional experience
I studied psychology at Comenius University in Bratislava. Alongside my studies and work, I have long been involved in movement and dance, which have significantly shaped my perception of the connection between the psyche and the body.
I have more than 20 years of experience working with people. I have worked in human resources, employee development, team leadership, and adult education. Today I combine this experience with therapeutic work and the individual accompaniment of clients.
I have completed several professional trainings and courses focused mainly on:
- systemic constellations and the systemic approach
- TIR® (Trauma Incident Reduction)
- TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)
- work with trauma and stress
- body-oriented therapeutic approaches
- a symbolic and holistic view of the psyche
I believe that healing begins the moment we allow ourselves to be honest with ourselves, to perceive our needs, and to create space for what wants to be understood and accepted.

Eva Staroň, MSc.
Doula, Lactation Consultant, Companion for women through pregnancy, birth, and motherhood
I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.
Pregnancy, birth, and the first months of motherhood are among the most significant experiences in a woman’s life. I believe that when a woman has enough information, support, and space to make decisions that are true to herself, she can experience this time with calm, trust, and confidence.
My role is to accompany women and their families on this unique journey. I help them find their way through the wealth of information, understand their care options, and find a way of preparing for birth and motherhood that respects their needs, values, and wishes.
I have been doing this work for more than nine years, and during that time I have had the opportunity to accompany many women in a wide range of life situations. Every story is unique, and I consider an individual approach to be the foundation of quality support.
How I work
In my work, I create a safe space in which a woman can speak openly about her expectations, fears, and needs. Together we look for solutions and options that help her feel prepared and capable in her decisions about pregnancy, birth, and the period after the baby is born.
I regularly follow current knowledge and developments in birth care, both in Slovakia and abroad. In my work, I combine an evidence-based approach with traditional supportive methods that help women experience this time more consciously, more calmly, and with a greater sense of confidence.
My goal is not to make decisions for a woman, but to help her find her own path and support her in decisions that align with her needs and values.
What I can help you with
I accompany women and their families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
I can help you especially with:
- individual birth preparation
- preparation for the postpartum period
- preparation for breastfeeding
- lactation counselling
- support with newborn care
- support during birth
- postpartum care
- support in creating a birth plan
- guidance through birth care options
- support in decision-making during pregnancy and birth
Methods and approaches I use
In my work, I combine professional knowledge, practical experience, and an individual approach to each woman.
I mainly use:
- principles of respectful and informed support during pregnancy and birth
- lactation counselling
- rebozo techniques
- traditional women’s herbal steam (napárka)
- aromatherapy
- mindfulness and relaxation techniques
- supportive practices for a more comfortable pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period

Mgr. Lucia Mericová
Traditional Chinese Medicine therapist with a background in psychology
True health arises from a balance of body, mind, and lifestyle.
I believe that caring for health requires more than a single perspective. Our physical health, mental experience, lifestyle, and everyday habits are all interconnected and influence one another. When balance is disturbed in one area, it often shows in the others.
In my work, I combine the principles of traditional Chinese medicine with a psychological understanding of the person. I am fascinated by the connection between the body, the psyche, and inner experience. I believe that when we better understand the connections between our symptoms, emotions, and lifestyle, we can create the conditions for the natural restoration of balance and health.
I see each person as a unique system that calls for an individual approach. That is why I look not only for the answer to what is happening, but also to why it is happening.
How I work
The foundation of my work is a thorough assessment based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, which allows me to view health difficulties in a broader context. Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, I try to identify the imbalances and causes that may lie behind health problems.
In therapy, I combine knowledge from traditional Chinese medicine, psychosomatics, and psychology. I recognise that many physical manifestations can be related to long-term stress, emotions, lifestyle, or a person’s patterns of functioning.
My goal is to help the client better understand their body, restore its natural balance, and support health in a way that respects their individuality.
What I can help you with
In my practice, I work mainly with clients who are looking for a comprehensive view of their health and want to work not only with symptoms, but also with their possible causes.
I help with:
- long-term stress and mental overload
- fatigue and exhaustion
- psychosomatic difficulties
- hormonal and gynaecological problems
- digestive difficulties
- supporting overall vitality and immunity
- prevention and support of a healthy lifestyle
- finding balance between the mental and physical sides of health
Methods and approaches I use
In my work, I combine the traditional principles of Eastern medicine with modern psychological knowledge.
I mainly use:
- assessment based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine
- phytotherapy (herbal medicine)
- nutrition and lifestyle recommendations
- work with the body’s energy balance
- a psychosomatic approach
- psychological counselling
- relaxation and release techniques
- rejuvenating and regenerative techniques of traditional Chinese medicine
During my psychology studies, I also focused intensively on meditation and relaxation techniques, working with stress, and their impact on mental health. I naturally integrate this knowledge into my therapeutic work.
Education and professional development
I studied psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. I then completed a 4.5-year programme in traditional Chinese medicine at the TCM Institute in Prague, where I gained comprehensive training in the diagnostics and therapeutic principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
I am currently continuing my professional development in a long-term psychotherapy training in the Gestalt approach. I feel a particular affinity for this direction because of its emphasis on awareness, working with the body, experiencing the present moment, and a respectful attitude toward the person.
Education
- Psychology – Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava
- Traditional Chinese Medicine – TCM Institute Prague
Professional courses and trainings
- Gynaecology in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM Institute Prague, 2024)
